Hi everyone, Just noticed this news.
http://www.southgatearc.org/news/2019/may/iss … tv-june-5-6.htm
So if you're interested, you can receive some transmissions at home with a simple FM scanner if you're lucky.
Or with a DIY SDR radio that uses a simple TV/Radio USB dongle (RTL2832, R820T).
(I'm using an Android tablet for that. SDR-Touch is the name of the application, I believe.)
Software wise, you can use MMSSTV, for example.
It supports PD120 mode of Slow Scan Television.
When you sent in a reception report (with self-addressed envelope incl. IRCs or green stamps),
you can also receive a SQL card back. The card looks similar to that.
PS: If you're a beginner, better record the transmission on "tape" first.
So you can decode the signals afterwards more easily.
You can also send your receipted images in via mail. 😀
