Hi guys,

I am on the hunt for a VERY hard to find Far Cry 1 mod that was released around 2005(ish) by a now defunct game company called Galahan Games. I have been doing research on their cancelled PC game called "INCorporated" and there was never anything released other than two tech demos before its cancellation. The second tech demo used the Reality Engine which was eventually acquired by Epic. That tech demo is available and still downloadable on Galahan's archived website. The first tech demo was a Far Cry 1 mod and that file has been lost as far as I can tell. There are a few others that have gone hunting for it and have come up empty handed as well. I contacted a couple of websites, ModDB.com and NoFrag.com, that had references to the mod file and both informed me they do not have that file anymore after searching their server's backups. The filename of the INCorporated Far Cry 1 mod tech demo is "INCorporated_TechDemo_20050316_Setup.exe". I have also searched various websites that have bundled mod packs. Anyway, if any of you have a large collection of Far Cry 1 mods or know anyone who might please feel free to PM me if you have access to this file. The first person who can provide this file to me I am willing to PayPal them $100 for the file as long as I can confirm it is a working copy. I will immediately post here when it has been found. Finding this tech demo will be the final missing piece in the preservation of this cancelled title. Thanks for reading.

All the info that has been gathered so far can be found in the comments section of Unseen64 here:

Hopefully somebody still has it.

Only thing I came up with, which you already have from what I gather is the second tech demo:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.incor … .com/release//*

I've requested access to the beta web.archive.org site which I think is supposed to have a full text search option but I haven't heard back yet.

Do you know if the betaarchive ftp has been checked yet?

🤣 now I see on vcf the whole post
you should have the same info here as well, what is the point on going to another forum to get more details?

This site lists the nofrag location:

http://www.nofrag.com/fichiers/farcry/mods/in … 50316_Setup.exe
Guessing you already found that and that is why you asked nofrag to look in their backups.

Hey, thanks guys for the response. That's correct, the file you both mention was the stand-alone, second tech demo which used the Reality Engine. The Reality Engine was later acquired by Epic. If you follow my links at the Unseen64 info page you can still download the original 39 part rar file of that second tech demo from the original archived website. That's the beauty of this search for me. Somehow a 39 part rar file of the second tech demo was archived, but not the single file, first tech demo which was the Far Cry 1 modification. Gotta love that.

So just to be clear, the first tech demo (Far Cry 1 mod) has an original filename of "INCorporated_TechDemo_20050316_Setup.exe".

The second stand-alone tech demo using the Reality Engine has an original filename of "INCorporated_TechDemo_Medium_20051004_Setup.partXX.rar" where "XX" is 01 through 39.

I went ahead and edited the original post with all the info as I realized I put the same title here (derp moment for me). I don't expect this to be found easily as I (and others) have tried hunting this particular tech demo down for awhile now. Vogons member Deksor has been a great help as he found a very early article about some of the developers. I have messaged one of them and he another. No response yet.

This teaser video found by CloneCommOmar possibly shows the graphics/models from that mod. The mod supposedly just allowed you to walk around and look at different character 3D models that were planned for the game in a city street setting. Where CloneCommOmar found the video is beyond me as all downloads I have found for the teaser video are also dead links. I talked with him briefly at the now defunct Assemblergames website a couple of years back as he was also hunting for info on this cancelled game.

My best hope, at this point, is that someone will mention this in a Discord channel, IRC channel or search in a different way that produces better results. Maybe someone has a large collection of Far Cry 1 mods on their HDD or know of a FTP site with a large collection of mods. It's a long shot, but preservation of these sort of things is what I like to do.

You can actually search their database without having access to the files and I did not see anything for INCorporated.

liqmat: did you see this guy in 2017?

Perhaps you can shoot him a message, if he has all assets then he probably has "INCorporated_TechDemo_20050316_Setup.exe" somewhere.

I did see that and unfortunately someone did try reaching out to him, but they never got a response worth mentioning. I can't see a way to contact him TBH. If you read through this old thread from Assemblergames a contact attempt was made.

I've got a way (or two) to try contacting him, do you think we should try again? The AssemblerGames thread ends with saying that he could add no new info.

The INCorporated Far Cry 1 tech demo mod has been found and all credits go to a Discord user by the name of Roboserg. The mod is just a handful of animated 3D character models with music in the background. You can somewhat control the camera to see the models at slightly different angles. It completes my quest in documenting the interesting development history of this unreleased game.

No it doesn't, until you show me few screenshots and where I can read more about it 😀

I wish, but no. I just like to gather info for historical preservation on unreleased game titles. I find the development cycle of these sort of things fascinating. Especially if there are beta builds/prototypes/tech demos etc. that were available at one time. I agree, though, I love the cyberpunk aesthetic of INCorporated.

That name sounded very familiar to me from the beginning. I actually downloaded and played the demo where you could walk around in the street few months ago. I was expecting more gameplay, but it was very short.
