@Robertmo - why do you post topics that have no relevant information?

Never forget that China represents almost fifth of entire human race.

Maybe not after Novel Coronavirus has something to say about it.

According to latest numbers around 2000 people died in China from coronavirus, meanwhile in USA which has 4 times smaller population, 8000 people died from the flu this season.

It's just SARs over again. Who still remembers that?

I remember my local Chinese restaurant was deserted during SARS. I felt so sorry for them I went in and ordered a big meal. They were so pleased to see me. They still went out of business though.

Wishful thinking on your part? I am not sure where you are getting your numbers from, but:

The additional five deaths across all of mainland China brings the death toll to 1,868 in China. That brings the global death toll to 1,873. There have been five deaths reported outside of mainland China with one death in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines and France.

Well, at least China remains as super-committed to transparency and openness as always, so nobody should have the least shadow of a doubt that the sanctioned numbers are anything but the gospel truth. Unless they're amazing racists, of course!

Why hunt it down, wait three seasons for delivery, end up with a 5 meter cable to go half the distance of a PCI card, and get a wicked case of the sniffles, when you could have it cabled up snug within the hour? ;-D

Why make when you can buy a corona infected one from China for 50c?

Ha, epidemic scare, Vogons edition. :P
It's a virus, not anthrax. I can't survive outside living tissue.

First, viruses don't 'live' per se, but they have varying amounts of difficulty keeping their protein structure intact when exposed to the elements outside a host body. Just how long SARS-COV-2 can stay outside a host body and still remain infectious is currently unknown as there haven't been conclusive lab testing on the subject.

The general consensus is that it won't survive the time it would take for your package to arrive from China.

I received a package from AliExpress the other day and opened it up, then used the contents.

Ask again in a couple weeks.

(Although the disease is knocking at the door regardless, I live in a country where all neighboring countries except one already have reported cases..)

Please update this thread every day or two so we know when you've fallen ill. ;-D

Luckily, I live in the frozen north. By the time I fish something out of my mailbox, the little buggers will have turned blue.
