Webspace will stop on 1 April 2020
Everything comes to an end. Until April 13, 2015 you received storage space on the internet with us. That way you could save your own website or files. We called this Webspace. Because there are better free services on the market nowadays, which also offer much more space, we are turning off the Webspace service from 1 April 2020.
What now?
If you still use Webspace, quickly check if there are any files on it that you want to save. You do that by looking at your own Webspace. It is best to use an FTP program for this. You also need this information:
Ziggo (and predecessors)
server name: homedrive.ziggo.nl
username: (your full e-mail address)
password: (the password of your e-mail address)
port: 21
UPC
server name: members.chello.nl
username: (everything for the @ in your e-mail address)
password: (the password of your e-mail address)
Search tips
The address of your Webspace is related to the name of your e-mail address. Suppose your e-mail address at Ziggo is jan@ziggo.nl , then the address of your website is: http://members.ziggo.nl/jan . Or if your e-mail address is at piet@home.nl , then the address of your website is: http://members.home.nl/piet .
You normally put your files on Webspace with that FTP program, so you may also have those files somewhere on your computer. That makes securing your files a lot easier.
