Any of you catch this? Both designs need 10,000 supporter votes for it to be considered for production. Probably will put my vote in.

The sound card is certainly not as exciting as the 3Dfx card IMO, but fun someone submitted this.

Ah, so LEGO is now farming out their work to people who will do it for free and also not paying for marketing research either.

So this means that prices on LEGOs should come down a bunch, right? No? That's what I thought.

Hah! I just don't like the price that LEGO charges and now they want us to do their work for them while they still charge us the same price?

That is just silly.

I wonder if somebody would go to the length of creating 10,000 different accounts in order to get their idea made by LEGO.

Come up with an awesome idea and become a LEGO Fan designer! Product Ideas take a long time to develop, you'll have to promote your project and only the very best will win the hearts—and votes— of LEGO fans, but the incredible prize of seeing your creation become a real LEGO set makes all that effort worthwhile.

And here I thought that the ultimate prize would be making money off of an idea that makes it to market. Warm fuzzies don't quite pay the bills.

Same thing when you work for a company and they pay you a pittance for stuff you design and then they patent and make millions off of it while paying you nothing extra.

I thought this was -very- cool and now follow her Twitter (which is how I found out about it) as I clearly should have been doing for a while now, and am considering buying some of her art.

She also has a Lego Gravis Ultrasound.

Clearly a VOGON at heart. 😀

It actually wouldn't surprise me if she had a lurker account around here somewhere, it shouldn't surprise any of you that she's a massive retro gamer.

Given the behavior of some who I won't name here, I can certainly empathize with the lurking...

Hey I'm not that pervy 😉

I know LGR did a video on making a small PC out of lego, quite like the idea of a entire PC built from lego, you know build the motherboard that this voodoo connects to, sound card, etc
