The HP printer was definitely the 'Super Printer" of the 1990's and still maybe today. I have not kept up on the latest printer tech.

My first home printer back in 1993 or 1994 was a Ricoh laser printer with an HP emulator card. So you set it up like an HP but it was actually a Ricoh
It had about 1mb of memory and was very slow but it worked fine for printing documents in text.
