According to this web page -> https://tcrf.net/Tetris_(Microsoft,_Windows,_1990) there is a hidden dialog box that allows you to change the background BMPs/colors used for the old 1990 version of Tetris for Windows 3.

How do you access this hidden menu? According to the TCRF page, "This can be accessed from a menu item or accelerator with an id of 131.". I see no menu item within the game, and am not sure what they are referring to about the "accelerator" (I'm assuming one needs to edit the game's EXE with a resource hacker in order to display this hidden option in the game's menu?).

Any ideas?

I'm not sure of anything like "Resource Hacker" but capable of working with NE type executables. (Resource Hacker complains and refuses NE type executables)

Assuming there is one, it's probably possible to inject the menu item itself with such a utility. Probably could also be made to show up with a debugger and code injection too.

I found the utility Borland Resource Workshop 4.5 ( http://www.gaby.de/ftp/pub/win3x/brw45.zip ) which can be used as a Windows 3.x resource hacker for 16-bit Windows EXEs/DLLs. I then added the hidden dialog box as an added entry in the game's "Options" menu, and it functions GREAT 😀

Looking at the ACCELERATORS resource may help.
AFAIK, 131 maps to the F20 key... so maybe `ALT+SHIFT+F8`...?
