My desk is often cluttered with things and I keep having to move my keyboard from my test bench up and down from floor-to-desk. I've already minimized the surface area by using a compact IBM keybaord with integrated trackpoint, but it's a full-height keyboard and is rather chunky.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a thin low-profile keyboard that I can use with my test bench that will work with PS/2-ony motherboards? Ideally, a wireless one that I can set "forward" onto my desk, without a cable draping across it, would be ideal. There are lots of USB keyboards like this, but not all motherboards I'm testing with have USB ports. I also want to have mouse support integrated, so that I'm only dealing with one device and not two.

Are there any solutions to get a small wireless keyboard (PS/2 or USB) with integrated mouse/trackpoint to work with these PS/2 only motherboards?

Something like this?

Costly but you may find a used one on ebay.
I use a Keysonic spacesaver with touchpad instead, but PS2 is hard to find actually.

Wireless solutions require the installation of drivers, so for a testbench it is of no use.

I have this one (wired, and not from this sketchy website, of course):

12 € at the electronics fair around 2011 😀
And if the touchpad is large enough for you (I think it holds the record for size, actually) it supports all sorts of edge scrolling modes with Synaptics drivers 😁

A couple years before the "rollable" all-rubber keyboards (USB but dual mode) were all the rage: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/image … EL._SL1200_.jpg
and yup, they suck even for hard table use, which I presume won't be your case
