I've been trying to play Hogs of War on PC lately and I've noticed that you can use dgVoodoo in order to run it in a window, which works fine! Except there's one bug with the DDraw implementation of Windows that prevents the game to be displayed correctly.
What you'd usually do to fix that is to use narzoul's DDrawCompat library, the only problem is that it requires its ddraw.dll file in the game folder, which obviously conflicts with the dgVoodoo setup. So basically I can only get either the game to render properly OR render it in a window thanks to Dege's piece of software.
I found another topic in this forum basically showing the same behavior, to which Dege replied with a patch, but that one sadly isn't working for me, making the game simply crash when applied.
Is there something I could do to make the game run properly while using dgVoodoo? Perhaps a way to load both libraries at the same time?
Thanks for your time reading this! Have a good one 😁
