The MechWarrior3 community is having a big issue:
We have a latest mod of the game, which incorporates a 4XAI program remake of all the game textures. It looks amazing, btw. BUT...on certain systems there seems to be a problem.

It works fine on most systems, and no issues in singleplayer at all so far for anyone. Multiplayer seems to be the only culprit, and then only on systems that use AMD graphics.

These same AMD systems also had issues with a previous iteration of the mod, which did NOT use 4XAI textures, however all the textures had been edited, but only using a contrast/brightness tool, subtle adjustment to make them "look" HD...bringing out the details in the textures and making them "pop" a bit. It has been suggested that even these small changes to the textures could have an effect on either the graphics card or the 'MechWarrior3 net code, or both. Granted, I admit that even the changes to the previous mod do increase the memory use per texture...even a "brightness/contrast" adjustment can make a texture go up a few kilobytes in size?

I'm looking for opinions, and if Dege has anything to say about dgvoodoo in relation to older games being run by modern AMD graphics and if dgvoodoo can do anything about it.

Thanks
