Hello, long time no see, Vogons!
I notice that the whole site looks a lot different than how I remember it, so first of all my apologies if I post in the wrong section, but I really have no idea where to post this question with the Marvin section gone 😒
Feel free to move to the right section 😉
Anyways, yesterday I put together a Slot 1 Pentium II-MMX 266MHz Windows 98SE PC with my new 3DFX Banshee GPU (first time that I have a 3dfx card, it's awesome!), and after a whole day of reinstalling Windows 98 over 10 times because for some reason it kept blue screening after the installation (exception 0E, if someone knows what it means, I have no idea), in the evening I finally got it working!
Tho now I have a huge problem! Whenever I open My Computer, it kinda hangs there, with the flashlight animation going and I can't go into my CDs or C drive from there... Has it ever happened to anyone else or is this PC cursed?
Furthermore, I can't get my floppy drive to work, it gives error 40 and I tried two of them, idk if that's related to Windows hanging...
Hope someone can help, I'd love to make a nice Windows 98 PC outta this Pentium 2 build!
Currently assembled vintage computers I own: 11
