Hi everyone,
Just finishing a new PC build using a P200mmx I had lying around... it turns out that this CPU scales very well using setmul and its great for DOS games.
Unfortunately, when trying to play Soccer Kid on it I'm having a strange issue: The game seems normal (intro, menus), but when I get to the first level, the colors are all messed up, except for the player sprite and the ball.

The system I'm trying to run it:
-P200 MMX
-64mb RAM
-V72MA motherboard (ali chipset)
-Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 2mb PCI
-Ati Rage Pro Turbo (onboard)
-Aztech 6800w sound card
-Freedos 1.3

Things I already tried without success:
-Using different video cards (tried with both the onboard ATI and the Stealth 3D)
-Using a different monitor
-Using DOS 7 (so this is not freedos problem)
-Reducing CPU speed with setmul
-Tried running the game without sound
-Tried reducing available memory with himemx and by creating a ram drive.

Does anyone have any other ideas on what the problem might be?

Replying to my own post here as I found the problem.
The corrupted colors had nothing to do with the game, it was a problem while transferring the files to my old PC via FTP. I used filezilla and forgot to set it to force binary transfer (it was set to AUTO).
Funny, though. Instead of the game simply not running for being corrupted, it somehow "worked". Very likely the executables were transferred OK due to filezilla transfering them as binary, but some other game files were bad due to being transferred as ASCII.
