I have a problem with saving configuration in game setup under DOS 6.22. It acts like the config settings file is write protected. It is not problem in all games but few.

You wouldn't be running the setup from off a CD inadvertently would you? Not trying to be sarcastic but I can't think of why the settings wouldn't stick otherwise.
Keep in mind that this forum is for DOS games on modern systems. For questions involving older hardware with real DOS you should ask in Marvin.

No I'm not starting setup from CD. It's like cfg file is set like read only. Do you know where to change that attribute under NC?
Not quite (using NC 1.x), but if you're in the game's directory, try:
attrib -r [name of the config file]
(without the clamps)

Which ones?
Alone on the Dark 2
I solved the problem by deleting cfg file and starting setup again
