I've got a few games that run way too fast on my pentium III retro PC, such as Magic Carpet.

Is there a way to slow down the CPU so I can actually play the game or do I have to blow my money on a pentium 1 Windows 95? I wasn't planning on having 2 retro PCs, only one.

Hi, you can try to disable the caches in CMOS Setup (BIOS).

Good luck! 😀

In additions to disabling CPU cache, you can also possibly underclock the CPU.

And there are also programs that can effectively slow down your CPU.
