I've noticed an odd thing about StarFighter 3000, on DOS 6.22 or Dosbox 0.74-3.

When you select a mission from the planet pyramid and get the text screen, there's supposed to be a spoken voiceover reading out the text, but it doesn't play. (You can hear the voice in the Saturn, 3DO and PS1 ports.)

In the PC version, the voice briefings are stored in BRIEF.RES as uncompressed 16-bit 11025Hz mono on the CD so I know they're there. There's CD music playing at this point by default, so I guessed a full install is required to hear the briefing. If you do a full install from the CD, it'll say it's copying BRIEF.RES, but when I looked in the directory afterwards it wasn't there. If you copy BRIEF.RES manually into c:\games\sf3000 afterwards, you do get the briefing voice.

Has anybody else noticed this? Is it just a bug in the installer? (Perhaps not liking large drives and detecting disk space incorrectly or something like that.)
