Fair use/fair dealing exception

Would i really need a start disk image and then get it to run or cant i change it up so the wdinws 98 system starts automatic?
Its after i had installed dos 6.x.

It's apparently not booting MS-DOS 7.1, but 6.x. You can not start Win 9x on MS-DOS 6.x. Start from the setup disk once and do a "sys a: c:" at the command prompt. After that, the problem should be gone.

This sentence is entirely unclear. But if you are mixing MS-DOS files and Windows files, then this is the sort of thing you can expect.

I agree that "sys a: c:" should fix the problem.

You mean the windows 98 boot disk and it should be good?
Supose to make situation easy is to format the drive and use the windows disk.

Yes, the Windows 98 boot disk.

That is one option, but "sys a: c:" only takes a second and will fix the problem just as completely.
