I have recently put together a Windows 98SE system. I chose to use a Voodoo3 AGP card, as I heard a lot about 3DFX cards and never owned one back in the day. When running some games, the fail to start and produce some sort of error stating that there is a DirectDraw error, no supported hardware found. Is it the case that some games requiring DirectDraw just won't work with a Voodoo3 card? Is there some sort of alternative driver I should try? Thanks for any advice. Technical details below:

OS: Windows 98SE 4.10.2222 A
Video card: Voodoo3 3000 AGP
Video driver version: 4.12.01.0666 (Downloaded voodoo3tm_driver_kit_1.07.00-whql.zip from Phil's Computer Lab page http://www.philscomputerlab.com/drivers-for-voodoo-3.html)
DirectX Version: DirectX 8.1 (4.08.01.0881)

Games exhibiting issue:
Silver
SimCoaster

I ran the game on my Win ME/V3 and DX8.0 setup with the same version of video drivers and the game runs, but very poorly with a few rendering errors:

The game is extremely sensitive to my overclock aswell. 😵

Maybe a quick Direct X and video driver reinstall?
