Probably not a lot of you out there familiar with this game but what the heck. Running it on my sig win98 system at 800x 600 window mode it jerks like crazy. In full screen mode it's smoother, can't figure out why. Surely the hardware has enough muscle or maybe it's too much?

No response on this so I'll rephrase the question: What would cause a 2D game to be jerky/jittery in a window versus smooth full screen? My hardware surely has enough to run it smooth but maybe it's too much for a 97 era game? Running it in Windows 98SE with 450 P3, 384MB ram, GF2 GTS 64MB. Thought about putting together a lesser build to see if it's better but wanted some feedback first.

So just a quick Google search for this shows that it appears to have been patched twice. Are you running 1.08?

It could be that the patches are only gameplay-related fixes, but it would be a good baseline to check.

Yeah it's been patched. I'm just wondering with it being a 1997 game if DirectX 9 or my GF2 video card is too much for it, perhaps more period correct hardware would be better?
