Hi, the PC is IBM NetVista 830542A, I can't get Warcraft 2 to work, it goes "exception 0Dh (general protection fault) at 2 60:100C36BE", what is the problem? Is it the processor? IBM NetVista is a Pentium 4, right.

You could also try the Warcraft 2 Battle.net Edition, which is a native Windows application instead of a DOS one. Among other things, it also fixes the mouse cursor issue on faster systems.
You should ask in Marvin. Software This forum is for old Windows games on modern systems.

Problem occurs on computers with fast cpus and large memory. Replace WAR2.EXE and SETUP.EXE integrated DOS4GW with DOS32A.
I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.
Could the game run if I replace the processor to Pentium 3? The current processor is Pentium 4. I've tried the DOS32A, don't work.
