Hi. It feels like i've exhausted all the options available however there must be a tiny detail i'm missing here. I've installed from the file shares here "d2_3dfx_both_patches" which includes both official and unofficial patches along with glide2x.ovl from early reference drivers and more recent 3rd party drivers (amigamerlin) in my Descent 2 directory.

When I execute d2_3dfx I get the green text telling me about how it's an unoffical patch and to press ESC to continue. After pressing ESC the screen is blank and all I can do to get out of this is ctrl+alt+del.

Oddly, running d2_3dfx under 98se works and the game actually runs, however I have no GM sound coming through my SC55 which may be more a Windows related issue.

I suspect it's a glide ovl version issue, but then unsure why it runs under Windows...?
