I'm very comfortable with Minitab but I can't seem to see any old versions laying around, nor do they appear to be free. I was just wondering if there were any decent substitutes that utilize the FPU maybe and are Excel friendly (ie. can import spreadsheet cells easily). Would be nice to be able to do a six-pack analysis or a capability study 😀

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.
Maybe an old version of r could be ported comfortably.

SPSS looks very similar to minitab. worth a look!
You just google r man. Another option is to write your own software really. Unless you're doing advanced analysis, the equations tend to be manageable and freely available.

I actually wasn't being sarcastic. I did not google the letter R until told to do so and felt genuinely stupid afterwards (although you can understand my initial skepticism).
