I can vouch for cutemouse. It uses negligible ressources. I use it in all my configs.

Thanks dr_st I will try the CuteMouse but for a retro system it looks pretty cool to have menus in a dos boot up as I remember back when my parents had their first 386/486 it had no menus so just for coolness im going to keep the menus
