Hey everyone!
Currently Im trying to run MDK purchased on GOG on an retro PC:
amd k6-2 450mhz
256mb RAM
Diamond stealth 2000 2mb + voodoo 2
windows 98 SE

Basically I installed it on a newer PC and copied the installation files to older one and removed some dll files related to the wrapper, and the game runs buttery smooth...
But then when I press F2 to quicksave the game freezes and I have to ctrl+alt+del my way out of it, this issue only happens with the 3dfx executable. If I use software or direct 3D then I can save without any issues, but game performance is much worse (there are noticeable slowdown in open areas mostly, still very playable, but 3DFX version runs so much better). Saving at the end of the level (after the screen asking if you want to save) also freezes the game. Weirdly enough, pressing F3 for quickloading works normally.

Has anyone ever bumped into this issue?

Update: Ended finding the DOS executables and playing the DOS version of the game... looks good and runs smooth.
