So i am at my wit's end. There are two versions of Defender of the Crown floating around, one for CGA (which works fine on all my machines) and this EGA version which consists of two files, DEFENDER.COM and GAME.DAT ..

no matter what copy I try, it hangs. i've tried running it on my Tandy 1000TL, and my IBM 5170. No luck.

Is it just me?

ok nevermind! figured it out.

it was actually a booter. so i went to oldskool (ftp://ftp.oldskool.org/pub/misc/Software/Games/booters/) and downloaded the disk images. they provide several formats, i just picked one (.TD0) and downloaded teledisk. wrote a pair of 360k floppies and off we go!
