VOGONS

OK, so I installed what I thought were the correct video drivers on my 486 with Windows 3.11 installed.

The drivers installed with no issues and asked that I restart the computer. I restarted the computer and now when I type win.exe, Windows does not load. It just brings me back to the DOS prompt.

Does anyone know how I can remove the video drivers via DOS and reset everything to defaults (without reinstalling Windows 3.11).

Also, what are the correct drivers for my video card (integrated)? The bios reports it is a Cirrus Logic CL-GD5422/24 with 1mb of RAM.

Thanks.

Can't remember the exact details but you will have to manually edit system.ini to change the graphics driver. If you were lucky the driver install made a backup of it before committing any changes, but I doubt it.

You may find something suitable here http://files.mpoli.fi/hardware/DISPLAY/CIRRUS/
