Hello again!
I'm trying to get an overview about old (=offline) mapping- and routing progs for Win. They all died since there are TomToms and Google-maps. The most recent i know is "Euro-Route" aka "Europa Routenplaner" published 2008 in german by PTV-AG (i got the full version on DVD that came with some magazine). The first one i've ever seen (in reality) was "Map&Guide Germany" in the early '90s (i think it was still DOS), distributed on 3 or 4 1.44MB disks, originally developed for BP, Shell or Exxon to coordinate their trucks. In 1993 came NextBase's AutoRoute (Express) and AutoMap. I've seen several versions of Rand McNally's TripMaker, DeLorme StreetAtlas and (by far the best one) MS Expedia, last published in 2000, resp. 2001. Questions: Are there european-versions of the last three (i could only find US, resp. NA)? Are threre other good apps i did'nt mention?
