Smacker DOS Player Crashes 486 PC

Postby thepirategamerboy12 » 2019-8-08 @ 02:07

I want to play my own Smacker .SMK videos in DOS on my HP Vectra 486 using the latest version of the DOS Smacker player found in RAD Video Tools, but unfortunately if I encode sound in the video file, it completely locks up the computer and makes the power light flash. Without sound encoded, videos play fine. I have a Sound Blaster 16 (I think a CT2770.) The only version of the player that doesn't cause this issue from what I've found, is the version included in William Shatner's TekWar, but I can't get any videos to work with it for some reason and I just get an "error opening file" message. Any ideas on at least how to encode for that older version that works for me? Thanks.
