I am having a problem with DOS 6.22 and Win311 setups.

1) in DOS 6.22 when I try to run “ C:\edit “ I get this system halt and I have to reboot.
I can run “C:\DOS\edit” fine. But when I try to run edit from the “C:\”
I get the crash error.
2) I get this IFSHLP.SYS error in DOS boot up.

Also, you have apparently installed WfW 3.11 with networking support but not let it change your config.sys - that's why you get the IFSHLP.SYS error. Loading this file in config.sys is required, otherwise "net start" won't work.
Yes, I am trying to setup the 3com 3c509b network card.
What line do I need in config.sys ?
What about Protocol.ini in windows directory ?

And I fixed the “edit.exe” problem as I had to many installed.
