I have a beast Windows 98 machine and the cpu speed causes some DOS games and windows 95 games crashing or speed issues. For instance running blood cryptic passage results in a runtime error. I have been using cpugrab it has worked well. I was able to play Resident Evil all the way through using this software. It has a game breaking bug after triggering the first zombie and going back to talk to Chris the in game cut scene does not sync up with the audio and hard locks if your cpu is over 800MHz I believe. CPU Grab worked well with this but for blood the frame rate is terrible I have to set the program to 95 percent. My board does not have many overclocking setting I wanted to try to downclock the machine. The best thing I found was a jumper to lower the FSB which did not lower my cpu speed enough. Any software suggestions that would work well with my setup.
