My armor counter is decreasing when drowning in regular water.
So my armor needs air too ?

That can't be right, so I think its a bug, and was confirmed by some searching.

However is there a fix ?
Because I could not find it that easily.

If you're up for editing QuakeC yourself, here's a fix https://www.quake-info-pool.net/q1/qcenhanc.h … m#armordrowning
However it's not that you armor is drowning, it's absorbing the health damage done by drowning. So if you fix the bug you'll die faster.

I should die faster, better motivator to get some air.
And those health packs are everywhere anyway.

However that Red Armor is a bitch to get to.

I hoped someone had an already made patch 😉

Back in the day I assumed it just rusts super quickly...

That's some oxygenated water 😁

I always assumed it was intentional. From a logical standpoint, it's kind of strange how all types of damage can be absorbed, but I guess that's just the way it plays. Many derivatives of Quake don't follow its rule.

I guess it's more of a force field type shield then traditional body armor.
Then again I'm not sure id was that worried about realism 😉

It sure looks like traditional body armor.

I'm sure they were not, and it's good. Games should be fun. Too much focus on realism can ruin gameplay. 😀
