Hello,
Since yesterday my Windows XP does a very strange thing. After I make fresh installation I am used to set the theme to Windows Classic. This wasn't an issue since yesterday.

Suddenly the theme resets to Luna theme every time I reboot.

I don't know what's the problem... I didn't change anything on the system except the sound card. Pulled out the Audigy 2 ZS and put in an AOpen Cobra AW744L. But I don't think that a Soundcard can cause theming Problems in XP....

Location: Australian but living in the UK for now

Don't know the casue but have a very easy fix.
in control panel, services disable "Themes"
Now XP is forced to run in classic and you get very slightly faster performance as well 😀

This would made other themes unusable as well. But I found another way... I renamed the luna style file and folder... XP can't find it now anymore. Classic Theme stays now and I'm also able to use other styles...

I don't understand why this suddenly occurs.. in another forum I read something about strange behavior like this when the hard drive is dying. But a scan of my ssd results okay - no errors...
