I’m having the strangest problem.
For some reason I cant get sound working for Quake1 (GLQuake) and NFS2.

I have a CT2290, Diagnose plays well some sounds but not the previous mentioned games, however for instance Duke3d works perfectly.

I downloded the drivers froms philcomputerlab and followed the instruction how to setup the drivers.

Any clue what could be wrong?

In autoexec.bat I have the following line = SET BLASTER=A240 I5 D1 H7 P330 T6

Hello, i have ct2290 and Quake1 plays sound and music fine without any configuration. Are you sure your card is configured on A240? do you have sounds in other games?

What OS are you using, those games that don't work are Windows games right? Are you playing duke3d from Windows or pure DOS?

Strange thing, according installing instructions from Philscomputer how to get dos game sounds working when running them from Win95 there was no sound (instructions in a readme file of driver). I reinstalled the driver from Windows and suddenly everything works.
