How do i edit these files autoexec.bat and config.sys without the program EDIT.COM which is available in MS-DOS 5.0 and higher?
Is there a similiar program which i can install which doing the same thing?
Or dos have MS-DOS 4.01 already a tool which can be used what i didnt knowing?
~ At least it can do black and white~

There's Edlin (part of DOS) or Xtreegold (external program).
Having to remember this, sure takes me back in the old memory banks! DOS 4.01 was my first childhood MS-DOS, so these were what I used for the first 1-2 years of my PC life.
