Hello again!
A question from a linux rookie: I'm using a Fujitsu Esprimo Mobile V6535 (buildt 2009), 1GB, XP. It's my everyday computer, not a toy. XP is perfect for my needs, except for www. Online i'm using FF, NewMoon, Serpent and MyPal alternating, for none of them does everything i want - resp. what present internet demands. So i dug out a dusty live-DVD, dated 2012, with various bootable Linux. Mint (v12) comes closest to Windows. V12 looks old, but i don't know anything about Linux, so i can hardly tell what 2021 browsers demand. Will modern FF (v90?) run on Mint 12? Would it (i) have an advantage? How to update (should i?) And: Does this grub-thing work? Or will i have to fdisk everything? I want to set it up as a dual boot: XP for xyz, Mint for internet - is this a good idea?
Thanks for your comments!
