Hi there,

I've been playing a dos game when I was a kid and I'm unable to find it.
I have no pictures of it and I can safely say that it is not listed on myabandonware.com because I looked at all 440 pages of games they have listed for dos.

Description:
It is a bit like duke nukem 2 in terms of gameplay.
But the world was very metallic if you will?
And I think the character had a spacesuit on I think. And in the background there were lots of mainframe type computers with reel to reel tapes.
I think the setting must have been a spaceship or spacestation of some kind? and you had to walk through these corridors and I think you also had to shoot monsters.
It was solely 2D perspective like classic side scroller/platformer type of thing (I'm not 100% sure about these terms)
The game was also already pretty colorful so I think 1991-1995 kind of era?
I think I played that on a pentium pro compaq deskpro but I don't think that's very relevant.
I don't know if the game had a specific publisher or was available in specific languages because I was probably 7-8 years old when I played that and I didn't really care about those things back then 😁

Any Ideas?
Greetings

Kinda a long shot but Metal Mutant could somewhat fit the bill?

I know first hand how my own memories as a kid were warped over time and how...defeated I've felt when I found some games I've been looking for for ages and had amazing memories of 😁

The Frantis Mission II looks a bit more like it, but the game I was looking for is a much brighter setting and as I said in the background of these corridors there very often were reel to reel tape machines and compters and stuff.
Thanks for the suggestions so far 😀

OMG!
thanks lolo799!
After having a close look at Secret Agent, I think that must be it!
I'm still not 100% sure though but it's got everything I remember in it.
I think if you saw something as a kid, things are always a bit different in your memory.
I'll give it a try on the PS/2 on the weekend, maybe I'll get a good flashback when I see it on that CRT 😁
