It's rather hilarious checking up on eBay listings with laptops that sellers went on a long "quest" of sorts to find, assuring it’s the most "powerful" one capable of running much older operating systems such as Windows 2000, while subtly explaining the absence of vital drivers like though they're only minor inconvenience; all the while asking a fortune for a laptop that normally costs considerably less on any other version of Windows. The only missing driver here is the webcam due to the absence of Windows’ Image Acquisition (WIA). Which yeah I'm aware about the existence of BlackWingCat’s Extended Core, but the main purpose here is to see how much is possible without it (at the very most, having drivers with utilities that only work with their Extended Kernel)

Due to the Core 2 Duo being a relatively newer processor, there are some adjustments which have to be made to help with heat management. The most obvious is switching over to the PM timer from the default ACPI timer which'll decrease CPU temps down by 5 degrees, but the SpeedStep applet supplied from Intel (which the latest of can be acquired here: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drive … ?driverid=c4nr4) is also required in order to support dynamic frequency scaling which’ll knock it down an additional 10-15 degrees, leaving it to where it’d usually be on a fresh installation of Windows XP SP2+. Normally, due to being incapable of utilizing the Core Multiplexing Technologies responsible for allowing a wide range of multiprocessing functions, this applet will only function on a single-core. However, you may try using the following tool in order to remedy the issue: https://gamebanana.com/tools/2614

So here's the list of drivers in order of installation and where they can be downloaded, while some have functional Windows 2000 drivers they may also include utilities that require kernel functions which only work with the Extended Kernel already installed. Hence, I provide both versions depending on which you choose.

So long as Dell QuickSet is present on the system, Media Experience can alternatively be installed through this link: https://archive.org/details/Dell_OEM_Dell_Med … uxe_-_Win95_Eng (though only after installing PowerDVD so to enable DVD playback: https://archive.org/details/pdvd5.3.1012_201910).
