Having a slight issue with an older laptop running XP Pro 32 SP3, for the life of me I cannot get any browser to accept that the date and time of the system is correct which causes Certificate Errors in any browser I try to use to grab drivers, I have tried to install as many of the post SP3 updates as I can and have even reinstalled using a 2020 streamlined post SP3 install but the date time certificate errors persist.

Does anyone have some advice on how to nix this issue ?

I don't think it's date and time issue even if error messages indicate so.
More likely to do with expired CA certificates (required for SSL etc.)
There are workarounds but I've never researched them so can't help much in that regard.
Google around for "XP root certificate update" or "XP root certificate expired"

Your root certificates are expired. This is an unfortunate landmine that affects older systems.

Here is some additional information:

Don't forget about GlobalSign Root Certificates as well:

I've never tried to update certificates on Windows 98, since modern browser support is so terrible.

not actually after browser support since as you said its terrible, more to stop it throwing errors when it decides to open web pages and shit via programs or when I go hunting for drivers.
