Hi,

i was trying out various web browsers in order to get them to run under msdos 6.22. I tried Arachne (works) but i also wanted to try the old 'Lynx' browser, but with the TLS support as well.

The version of lynx i'm trying to test is 2.8.9 and the machine is basically a PS/2 model 30-286 with a Kingston SX!now25 cpu-board in place (not even the correct one for this particular model tbh. I did some Frankenstein-surgery (relocated the Dallas/cmos, etc) in order to have the ps/2 model 55z cpu expansion fit properly. But thats another story).

Anyway, while trying to unpack Lynx, i get the "(W10) Warning! Can't create: <files in archive>"

I'm using the doslfn in order to support long filenames in dos 6.22. But is my pkunzip too old to support the Lynx archive?

So i managed to find the version mentioned here: https://msfn.org/board/topic/182400-lynx-web- … os-with-tls-12/

but over here:

https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/fr … ynx/2.9.0/dev5/

Not sure yet how well (and if?) it runs on 4MB. Soon to find out.
