Hello,

Trying to run the game, and the intro loads but then it freezes on the main screen. Not sure if the type of sound called real sound, which is pc speaker type sound has anything to do with it. I can't seem to control anything when it freezes.

I tried to fix floppy file errors in the first disk, which prevented the game form running, with the identical working files I found online and it's doing this freeze thing. I've heard of others having similar issues.

I used the 486 fix but it could be the older file as the files have a date of 1990 as opposed to 1992: https://archive.org/details/CRIMEWAV_ZIP - they don't make any difference compared to the one in file.

I tried disabling all catche memory in the bios, nothing changed.

I downloaded the slowdown utility called Mo'So 1.5 but I don't know how to use it and what would increase the chances of making the game run. Anyone know?

Any other utility? What else should I try doing? Could there be bad floppy info?
