Sorry if I'm not in the right section, I was not sure where to post that.

I am writing a piece about Windows 3 for my blog and I have a few technical questions for which I struggle to find answers online. I was not a developer at the time, so I initially had basically no knowledge about the subject.
• More specifically I search some technical info about how the drivers worked in “real” and “standard” mode. Finding info about VxD was easier.
• Another question relates about the role remaining to DOS in Windows for Workgroup 3.11. If I am not mistaken, with 32-bit file access and 32-bit disk access enabled, int 13h and int 21h are handled by VxDs. I also read (but I am not sure about that) that memory management was done also by a VxD and not via the the DOS Extender. If that’s true, what is it left for DOS (and BIOS)????
