Hi there,

The Tinyllama is a DOS-oriented x86 SBC, built around the Vortex86EX SOC. More information here:

TinyLlama (Vortex86EX SBC)

I am creating this thread to share what we find about the ways to run "problematic" games on the system.

-The Tinyllama BIOS currently offers options to set the CPU speed as low as 60MHz, and as high as 500MHz, and also enable/disable L1 Cache on the CPU.
-The Tinyllama uses an SoundBlasterPro-compatible audio chip (CS4237).

Most DOS games work at, let's say, 100Mhz and L1 cache ON. You won't have to do anything special.
So I will mention the problematic games only, and the "tricks" to make them run.

-Wizardry VI Bane of the Cosmic Forge: Disable L1 cache.
-Disney's Aladdin: Needs EMS and the system can't have more than 16MB of RAM, so use this to eat up the RAM and then run the game : https://github.com/kklis/memeater
-Pinfall Fantasies: Needs EMS and the system can't have more than 16MB of RAM, so use this to eat up the RAM and then run the game : https://github.com/kklis/memeater
-Lemmings: Disable L1 cache for OPL music.
-Ishar: Legend of the Fortress : Disable L1 cache for Sound Blaster audio.

If you find/know games that can be run using different methods, please tell me in this thread and I will be adding them to this initial list.

Now, games that I can't get to work are
-Elder Scrolls: Arena (goes back to DOS prompt, even with plenty EMS available)
-Psycho Pinball (Hangs after table selection).
-Pinball Dreams (black screen if sound is enabled).
-Wing Commader (hangs on the demo screen with corrupt graphics, no matter how low I set the CPU speed or if I disable the L1 cache)
