Ever since I first finished Quake as a kid the final scene has always bothered me - why was the player shown standing perfectly still on one leg, holding the axe, when I went through the slipgate holding a gun?

Now I'm a (sort of) grown up software engineer, I decided to have a go at fixing my self, only 27 years too late
