I have found several topics about this game here, but all involve DOSBox. I downloade four "different" versions of the CD version of the game and while they run okay in DOSBox,
they all lock up on my Pentium 75 just after executing it. A black screen and pressing keys eventually leads to beeps, so a soft-lockup, CTRL+ALT+DEL works.
No matter if I choose Sound Blaster, Adlib or no sound, its still the same.

I also tried the rip (or is that a floppy version) and that works just fine. But I missed the CD-audio music and animations. There is even no intro, despite the intro.stk file.

The game always complains about not enough extended memory (I have 48MB), but I just create a ramdisk leaving 16MB free and the game no longer complains, so thats not the cause.

Has anyone managed to run the CD version on a real DOS PC? Any tips perhaps?
