I've been trying to get the Windows version of Dungeon Keeper to use the *.sbk files on my AWE64 Value. The closest I've gotten it to working is doing a 'Have Disk' install of the AWE drivers and starting the game without rebooting. When I reboot, it stops working again.

I think I got it working. I ended up removing my SB16 and reset the resource values for the AWE (I5 D1 H5). I also managed to change the wavetable from '640' to '620'. I found a few conditions that need to be met for the SFX to play:

  1. The AWE needs to be selected as the default sound device in the multimedia control panel
  2. AWE also needs to be set as default MIDI device (620)
  3. If the AWE control panel has been opened on this Windows session, reopen it, reset the soundfont to the default 'General MIDI', and restart the computer.
