I'm using Dosbox Staging, and I'm curious, what possibility is there to customize how it emulates the PC Speaker? In particular, I'm working with the opening music for Might and Magic 1 and 2, which is quite grating and hard to listen to, I was wondering if I can tweak it to use a sound font or something like that. Obviously since it's not true midi, I'm still limited, but is there something hacky I can do to make it sound better?

EDIT: I'm completely new here, apologies if I missed something obvious.

I know on a real machine back in the day you could buy sound cards that had the option of playing sound and music through the internal speaker, it wasn't great but still better than the PC beeps and such but as for DOS Box im pretty sure its limited in what it can do with PC speaker emulation, people on the DOSBox forums may be more knowledgeable about it, you might want to try there too.
