I can across this on another forum.

Oooh I love the low form factor - I have the original Simmconn and it's great, but it sure does stick out.

These ones are expensive I guess but not overly so if they work as advertised; they sure look the goods.

Life? Don't talk to me about life.

@dreamblaster
How long do we have until the "recall" expires?
What does PAL stand for?

'recall' : If you experience problems, just pm me, please read back this thread for compatible memory types.

PAL = programmable array logic
--> programmable chip that has the right logic for
- Gold
- Value
- or both... = Universal

In the new batch, the PAL chip will be in a socket, so you could exchange the chips.

At this moment, the batch is reserved for vogons forum members.

They should arrive in april, they are being assembled in a factory in poperinge/Belgium,
I hope to receive them soon, but they didn't notify my yet, and next week I am on holiday.
So it will probably be 2nd half of april.

Just when I have no budget left to spend on these 🙁 Could you please set aside a socketed Value as well as a Gold chip for me? I can pay for it in a month or two I believe, if you can wait that long..

Coincidentally I'm in the same situation as you, I'd like to reserve a Value one from the new batch, but I'll have to wait roughly two weeks for my paycheck to come in before I can pay for it. 😐

Looking good, I look forward to trying them. I even picked up some hp high density ram (4 ram chips) to test with these. Will let you know what works or not.
