Hi there ! here are the answers :
1/ yes : SIMMCONN Revival universal works with the AWE64 gold
2/ you can still reserve, I will pm you later when it is ready, no payment needed in advance. For this batch approx 9 can still be made.
3/ the cost is : 30 euro for solder kit, or 40 euro for presoldered board. Shipping cost is 5 euro worldwide (no tracking, or 15 euro (with tracking)

There's 33mm between the top ISA slot and bottom (non-shared) PCI slot. A flat enough PCI card might fit if the contraption is less than that, otherwise it takes a very low profile PCI card.

I've now measured it at 27mm all together with a 25 mm high stick, so there is a little bit of room there.

Also, I got my SIMMConn Revival today! Sweet! 😀

I have some 6mm heatsinks installed on my Voodoo2's and they're right there on top of the SIMMConn. My smallest 32MB piece just clears the V2 with nothing to spare.

Can't overstate how close it is, but it goes. Very cool. 😀

I hope serge keeps getting good feedback and orders for this I think he's done a sterling job considering it's not the core dream-chip wavetable business. I'm thrilled to have been allowed to take part in the development of this card and the fact that it's actually developed from its predecessor with this universal firmware (which also seems to give better compatibility!) It's just fab.

I'm just making another batch for you guys, to help you out.

I received a SimmConn Universal - Solder kit - this week and assembled it this afternoon. It was then installed on an AWE64 Gold together with a 8MB 60ns Double-sided FPM memory module. SimmConn Jumpers were set accordingly. 12582912 Bytes patch RAM is detected. The Diagnose.exe DRAM test passed OK, and I am currently playing midi music using the 8MBGM EMU Soundfont. So that is neat; Thanks Xu/SIMMconn and Serge for making this possible!

Is there a manual or can you just use it on either AWE64, Value and Gold?

I received my Simmconn adapters yesterday!

Now I just have to build/finish some machines to use my AWE64 cards in.

If you leave the jumper on the 3rd position, you can just use it on value and gold, with 32 mbytes memory modules.

What is the exact difference anyway? Didn't the memory modules from Creative worked on both cards also?

My Simmcon showed up yesterday. Tested with a 32mb simm and all is working great.
