Well, looks like having these batch produced somewhere is probably a good idea, that's a lot of built up demand there.

yeah, it seems many people are interested in a fully soldered version.
I will look into possibility of having it professionally produced.
This will look better than hand soldered. I will have the PALCE chip put in a socket, then.

My SIMMCONN Value arrived in the mail earlier last week but I only had the chance to unite with my MMX PC this weekend to try it out.

Just wanted to report that it works 100% flawlessly with the 32MB sticks I had lying about.

Hi,
thanks all for your enthousiasm.
At this moment, there are still not enough boards for doing a factory run, so they'll probably be hand soldered instead.
I will wait until the end of the month and then order the pcb's and parts. Will see how they can be produced.

yes, good news, from batyra :

Universal seems to work well with his 32 mbyte SIMMs on both value and gold card.
It does not work correct with smaller sizes of simms, but this is probably irrelevant.

He will make a more detailed report (with exact simm types) soon : 😀

I will have my paws back on my SIMMCONN this Wednesday. I should have a asecond AWE 64 Value card in my possession by weekend. This weekend I'm hoping to put together a P3 PC to sell later on; I can test more SIMMs (8MB and 16MB) for a more detailed report on compatibility.

I already got Christmas present (Dreamblaster X2 module & SimmConn GOLD) on September 😀

Please count with me for another TWO fully soldered SimmConn GOLD. Thank you.

PS: Is it technically possible to have flash mem instead of RAM, so it keeps the content between reboots? Like Dreamblaster X2?? (just asking, I know it had to be completely redesigned)

I already have one reserved. Should I go ahead and send payment or are you waiting for finalization of the universal one before they can be built?

I will probably be interested in getting 2 additional on top of the one I already have reserved.

RIght now I only need to have an idea how many of which kind are needed.
I will pm all of you individually with details, once all components and the PCB's are in.
