Any recommendation for the internal audio cable? Would a standard cable CD-ROM -> Sound Blaster Aux/CD-In work?

you will need something like this:

or this

the plug that goes in the mpu side needs to be a flat connector (or you can trim any locking mechanism the cable might have) and the other part whatever the soundcard requires , just get a simple shielded cable and you'll be fine

Yay! I guess for ISA bus this is as good as it gets on par with Roland MPU-401AT card.

Granted I'm not exactly a fan of that weird splitter thingy. One might think the card could have went with mini-jacks for these breakout MIDI cables straight away (but then old cable from previous version wouldn't be compatible). It's a 'lil strange choice, imho. Nevertheless, it is awesome.

^ it won't bother you you'll see
the DB9 port also serves another purpose: a place to fix the bracket. Altering the bracket design to add other anchor points was not an option at this time - so there wouldn't be a chance to have them machine-made.

^ yes , the green jack carries the daughterboard's audio. Alternatively for internal connection there are 4 pins behind the jack so you can connect it to your soundcard using a cdrom audio cable

Here is a quick setup guide and the breakout cable pinout in case anyone needs them:

also:

PC-MIDI manual and DOS utilities/diagnostics
win9x multiport drivers (allows more than one program to access the MPU at the same time)

Just in case anyone is wondering , IH9MQ9 is the original MQ card and each time a new version is coming out we bump this product number, the current one is IH9MQ12 🤣

@typherial Add your name to this list and you will be contacted asap when one card is ready for you. There are plenty of cards this time, enough for everyone.
