Do rare variants of common cards count as "rare", too? I own a CT1780 for example, which is a very rare variant of the original SB16.

It has both the ASP chip AND a volume wheel. Very nice!

And DSP 4.05 without hanging-notes bug. Tested it for some hours today (wanted to test the X2 only, actually, but ended up testing every aspect of the card). Noise level is very low, which is quite unusual for a Sound Blaster.

Logitech Soundman Games is even more rare.

I googled for my old soundcard, and found this interesting looking forum. So I had to register only to ask is this Logitech Soundman Games really so rare? I bought this one as a teenager and had to save the card and box, because it was my first piece of PC hardware bought with my own money. It was one of the cheapest soundcards costing about 450 Finnish Marks 1993 (75€ directly converted without inflation) and was praised by legendary Finnish magazine Mikrobitti in a wide review, so this was the card for me.

Maybe should build a Dos gaming PC some day.

Not sure how rare but we still have our original ISA soundcard.

A MediaVision Pro Audio Studio 16. We had it in our 486SX back in the day and never had the heart to turf it.

Will now re-purpose it in a new Legacy Dos PC Build :)

Best part about the SoundMan Games is that it can be easily identified with that blue CD-ROM connector.
Not exactly rare, but not too common either.

I have an Aztech Sound Galaxy NX Pro that's a Sound Blaster Pro (either 1 or 2) compatible, has Disney Sound Source, Covox Speech Thing, genuine OPL3 (YMF-262M) chipset, MPU-401 UART (tested this and it does work), and volume potentiometer.

Had to repair the card due to traces being destroyed, but it was successful.
